In an effort to build better collaboration between ourselves, our clients, and regulatory agencies, we have been hosting members of various agencies for day field trips to different projects being affected by their decisions. We have shared farming, irrigation, and flood control practices, give them geographical reference to points they often only see on map, and openly discussed struggles both agencies and agriculture are having with application processes and how to best communicate. Most importantly we are starting to build the relationships necessary to navigate uncharted regulatory territory. We look forward to the next opportunity to bring all parties to the table for constructive conversations. These field trips are proving to be helpful to our clients projects and the regulatory process. We look forward to hosting many more of this kind.
